Wow! It has been a while since we have added a blog post, hasn’t it? This didn’t happen on purpose. Time just seemed to escape us. So shall we catch up on what has been happening with your favorite Pittsburgh based farm family?
Our 2024 season was a whirlwind! From the minute we started planting to the minute the season ended we were on the go! Your support was phenomenal all season! Seriously, we couldn’t ask for better customers. Week in and week out you showed up at each farmers market to support us and we are beyond GRATEFUL! As a non-Pittsburgh native, I have to say I have come to love this community and the support you show for farmers markets, buying local and shopping small. Truly, it is remarkable.
We can’t forgot our CSA customers either who supported us as well. We added a fruit share with the 2024 season and the support for both the vegetable and fruit CSA Shares was amazing. With the warm weather we had last May as well, your Pittsburgh based CSA family farm was so proud to offer our best ever first week CSA box! It was truly amazing and included spring onions, lettuce, zucchini, squash, cucumbers, basil, garlic scapes, beets and cabbage. It was a great box!
As some of you may be aware, last season came with some personal trials, specifically some serious health problems for Farmer Jeremy. We had to make some pivots for a few weeks and hire some market support to allow him to rest some and recover. I am happy to say he is feeling so much better and we are looking forward to an UNEVENTFUL season for 2025. We are grateful for your understanding and patience with us during that difficult and stressful time!
After the the season ended, your farm family took some much needed rest and relaxation. We enjoyed a few weeks in Emerald Isle, NC, shell hunting, sunset watching and enjoying ocean air. We had an amazing time. Diesel, your favorite farm dog, enjoyed the beach as well.
In January, we visited the Pennsylvania Farm Show in the state’s capital of Harrisburg. It is a huge show and supports Pennsylvania farms so well! We had a great time!

In February, we celebrated National CSA Week. It was a great week to help educate about Community Support Agriculture throughout the Pittsburgh area. You guys once again supported us tremendously and we added a lot of new CSA members during this amazing week!
Farmer Jeremy has been working hard in planning the 2025 season, ordering seed and planning crops. We have begun planting already for 2025 and can’t wait for all that is in store for this season.
We appreciate all our Pittsburgh area customers and all who support us! Without you, we couldn’t do this and we are truly grateful!
We can’t wait to see you all very soon! Stay tuned for more exciting news to come!
